Friday’s Hunt v1.20

It’s Friday again. Does anyone else feel like the weeks are just flying by? I think I am still in March, but that may have to do with the fact that the furnace is running and I am currently cold.

Anyway, it’s time for Friday’s Hunt with Teresa at Eden Hills. The prompts this week are the Letter T, Weeks Favorite, and Evening.

The Letter T is Tractor! I love this tractor. It’s a Case 1270 and was the first cab tractor Dad bought about 33 years ago. He was so proud of it! Of course it’s had some work, ok in 33 years it has had a lot of work done to it. Honestly it has done a lot of work over the years!

Tractors

These are my two favorites and probably the two I use the most! The M was originally Grandpa’s. He had taken it in to the school to let the shop kids rebuild it. After a few years, when it wasn’t done, Brother and Dad went to pick it up. I wish I had a picture of what they brought home. Basically it was 4 wheels and a bunch of boxes of parts. Brother rebuilt it and we use it all the time. The H was Dad and Grandpa’s. We still use it when two of us are raking. It was the first tractor I drove when I went to work for Brother. I like to think of Dad when I using these two. These two tractors have done so much work with Grandpa, Dad and Brother it makes me feel like they are kind of there with me.

Weeks Favorite. While it isn’t the best picture, her smile basically summarizes the feeling of the day spent at the Vet’s home and that makes it my favorite.

My Evenings have been filled up with track meets and baseball games.

I usually enjoy the baseball games. But last night was pretty chilly for baseball! Oh well, our concession stand has the best chili cheese dogs around so it was fine!

Thanks for stopping by, see you next week! If you want to visit the rest of the Friday’s Hunts stop over at Eden Hills. If you are actually in the area, you should actually stop out and visit the market open today. You can find the hours here. If you aren’t in the area, but would still like to shop these great products, which I highly recommend, Teresa also has an online market here.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Love your “T” tractors, Ms. B.B. I am glad you learned on the Farmal H, they were nice tractors.
When I was a teen I worked with and for my uncles both of whom had Farmal H’s. My cousin also had one and he paid better. At that time Dad still had his first, it was a John Deere B. Later he got a Farmal M and later still after I had left home, he traded it for a Super MTA. I best liked the Fords, thre of my uncles had them for me to help with.
My Grandpa didn’t ever have a tractor. He was the landlord for the three brothers who lived near him and each other. He did have a riding horse and was generally always near, helping where he could.
    Bring more memories for you?
